2023 was a pivotal year for the Popeyes Foundation! Not only did it mark our 5th anniversary, but we unveiled SERVING WITH LOVE®, our signature initiative that focuses on supporting Popeyes® Team Members and our local communities. We continue supporting Popeyes employees who experience short-term, catastrophic hardships through our Team Member Love Program. For our local communities, we are now helping provide food to those who need it through our new Food Love Grants Program. Last year, $360,000 was directed to more than 60 local nonprofits; supporting local programs from out-of-school meals, mobile food pantries, meal delivery programs for the homebound to drive-thru food pantry programs, among others.

The joy Team Popeyes experienced knowing Food Love was brought to youth, families, elderly, homebound and people in need was unmeasurable. What brought another spark to 2023 were the Team Members who came together to feed those in need throughout their own communities. From New Orleans, Washington DC to Miami, among others, more than 130 Popeyes volunteers prepared, packaged, and delivered 8,500 meals for those in need locally. “Participating in the local Philly Food Love Volunteer Day, gave me pride and joy! As I made a call out to my team and coworkers: “Who is with me?” We came in as a team to show Philly we are here to help. We came to help package meals for those in need. Everyone left the event knowing we did something great. We did not know what individuals were receiving the meals, but we made a difference. No matter how big or little the effort was, someone received the love of Popeyes giving back,” said Alberto Cruz, VP of Operations, PN Restaurants, a Popeyes® Franchisee. As we move into 2024, $470,000 will be directed locally through our 2024 Food Love Grants Program. We are thrilled to continue SERVING WITH LOVE®, locally!
